Automaker Kia launched its EV6 electric SUV in India in 2022. It has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 67.90 lakh. In view of this, we are telling you here about the difference between the new model of Kia EV6 and the old model. Let us know about their difference in detail.

1. Front Design

The new Kia EV6 features aggressive headlights, which are surrounded by triangular LED DRLs. On the other hand, the old EV6 had vertically stacked LED headlights and pixel-like LED DRLs. Both models have a long closed grille, but both have different inserts in the air inlet channels on the bumper.

The wheel size of the new Kia EV6 is the same as the old model, which is 19 inches. However, the design of the wheels of the new model has been changed. Both flush-type door handles, gloss black strips and blacked out rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are the same.

3. Rear design

The rear design of the new EV6 and the old model is almost the same. Both have curved LED connected tail lights that extend to the rear fender. The new EV6 bumper has a more aggressive diffusor with horizontal elements, while the old model had a simple faux silver skid plate.

4. Interior

  • Both have dual 12.3-inch screens, but the new one has slightly rounded edges, while the older model had more angular ones.
  • The design of the central console is also almost the same in both. It has features like twin cup holders, rotary drive selector dial, push-button start/stop and wireless phone charger. A new fingerprint scanner has also been provided, which is not available in the older model.

5. Features and Security

  • Both the new EV6 and the older model come with features like dual 12.3-inch screens, 12-inch AR HUD, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, 10-way power front seats (with ventilation) and dual-zone auto AC.
  • At the same time, almost similar features have been provided for the safety of the people. Both include 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor and electronic parking brake. Also, both get Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant System).
